The Roberts Decided to Build

It wasn't long after the kids were off to college that Beth and Shannon Roberts began planning for the next stage of their lives. Their first step was to sell the family home and purchase a slice of country heaven on the outskirts of the Leo-Cedarville area.   If you thought that this would be a story of a couple of empty-nesters downsizing, then you'd be slightly off.
Shannon forms part of our team at Ideal as our Design Manager.   On any given day, he can be found in his office customizing floor plans for a client or creating functional layouts to add to our Ideal library.
We have reason to believe that inspiration was drawn from his early morning design sessions, before many of us make it to work.  With rock oozing out of his office walls and a head full of ideas, Shannon designed his very own custom home.
A "For Sale," sign staked in the front yard of their family home marked the start of their new journey.  Goodbye neighbors and goodbye kids (off to college) Shannon and his wife, Beth, purchased a lot of land with waterfront views and serene country setting.  As it turns out, their next journey in life was to build an Ideal Custom Home that dwarfs square footage of their previous home.   It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop his most exceptional design to date.
With a nod to his wife, Shannon names this floor plan, "Elizabeth" and the layout does not disappoint.  See for yourself.
We wish Shannon and Beth many years of happiness in their new home.
